Charlotte, NC

With the news of Seneca being signed to Lifeforce records it occurs to me that Charlotte is blowing the fuck up with metal bands. A Hero A Fake (from Charlotte) was recently signed to Victory, who is the label host to the amazing Between The Buried And Me (guess where they're from...)

While there is certainly talent in both Seneca and A Hero A Fake, what it sounds like is that labels have been flocking there trying to find the new BTBAM.  And though it's hard to find music that really is original these days, I wonder who else is floating around Charlotte's heavy music scene that isn't just trying to cash in on the BTBAM tech/prog metal sound.
