System of A Down / Dillinger Escape Plan New Zealand Show

According to a post from Ben Weinman's Facebook page, Dillinger Escape Plan are supporting the long-time-gone System of A Down at a show in New Zealand.
Though this is a pretty interesting line up because both bands are such innovative acts, I imagine their fanbase doesn't have much overlap anymore. I know very few people who heard System of A Down on the radio and then made the long journey toward DEP fandom.  Either way, this will certainly be a pretty awesome show for those kiwis.

Greg from Dillinger Escape Plan has written a long note railing against current governmental affairs (which can be read here). However, most pertanent to this blog is the part at the end where he mentions his guest vocals on the new Every Time I Die album. STOKED.

If you think that The Dillinger Escape Plan suck, THIS is why you're wrong.  Ben Weinman is a genius.  These would make pretty good christmas gifts...just sayin....
