Stream the new The Big Pink album

Huzza!  There's been lots of pretty exciting news released in the last couple of days, chiefly among them for me is an NME stream of The Big Pink's new album Future This. Check it out here.

More on this and other stories later.

Stream the new Shadows Fall Album

Shadows Fall's new album Retribution hits stores on Tuesday (along with a bunch of other pretty awesome stuff), and from what I've heard so far it's pretty solid. I bought The War Within a couple of years ago and probably didn't give it as much credit as it should have gotten; but Retribution sounds so far like it's going to be one of the better albums from one of the genres oldest groups.
Feel free to check it out for yourself cuz the whole thing is streaming on myspace.

Stream the New Conor Oberst

This album snuck up on me to begin with, but now almost a month before its official release date (May 5th), you can stream the new Conor Oberst and Mystic Valley Band album Outer South, at the Merge Records website.

Update:  So this is probably my wishful imagination but, the person from Omaha, Nebraska searching for Conor Oberst...

Are you there Conor?

Razia's Shadow Stream

Everyone over at AP has been shitting themselves over the past couple of weeks about the new Forgive Durden album Razia's Shadow: A Musical.
Song clips were available on the albums website (which was until a couple of weeks ago shrouded in mystery) but now the album is up for full stream on the Forgive Durden website.
I'm listening to the album right now and am pretty impressed. The album has a special guest vocalist for nearly every track who play different characters in the "musical". This is a concept album through and through.
Though I have no prior history with Forgive Durden, something tells me that their first album didn't sound like this (further investigation will be required).
All I can do is suggest that you listen to the album. I'm not really sure what to compare it to right now (gasp). I guess think of your favorite musical re-written by a lounge act with a backing symphony... Confused? Me too. Just give it a listen, you should be able to tell pretty quickly whether or not you will enjoy it.

New Fear Before Stream!!!!!!

This has happened much earlier than I expected, but Fear Before has posted their entire new album for streaming over on last.fm. A direct link can be found here .

Update:
-Okay, so it sounds completely different than Art Damage, but we were expecting that. Barring the fact that it sounds nothing like their old stuff, I love it so far.

Update 2: This album kicks ass. I am very pleased and look forward to listening to it more and more. If you have never heard of, or given Fear Before a chance, now is the time to do so. More extensive thoughts later.

New A Static Lullaby

I've never really been into A Static Lullaby, but I'm streaming their new album over on pure volume, and I'm pretty impressed so far. Sounds like they really took a page out of the He Is Legend, Maylene, Memphis May Fire book for this release; and with a name like Rattlesnake! the album already has my favor. Check it out here
