Stream the new Shadows Fall Album

Shadows Fall's new album Retribution hits stores on Tuesday (along with a bunch of other pretty awesome stuff), and from what I've heard so far it's pretty solid. I bought The War Within a couple of years ago and probably didn't give it as much credit as it should have gotten; but Retribution sounds so far like it's going to be one of the better albums from one of the genres oldest groups.

Auto Tune The News

The "Auto Tune the News" segments are almost the very definition of making the best of a bad situation. And as much as T-Pain is largely responsible for the advent of one of the most criminally overused aspects of modern technology, I do appreciate the fact that he has such a good sense of humor about the whole thing. All of that said, this bit is fucking hilarious; especially since it refers back to episode 4's ( I think) global warming song (the "very thin ice" part).

New Say Anything Video

Say Anything - Hate Everyone

Here is the just released music video for the first single of Say Anything's upcoming S/T album. Somehow I've managed to avoid hearing the song until just now; which is completely unfortunate considering how awesome it is. It reminds me of "Somebody Hates Me" by Reel Big Fish for a number of reasons (fun, upbeat song, about hating people).

This makes me really excited for the rest of the album, and excited to hear how instead of stretching good ideas to fit on two discs, they might have combined good ideas to fit them on one disc.

If you're still holding strong and actually reading this thing...thanks! I was away working at camp from May 15th to August 21st and didn't really have much time or material to update with.

Anyway, assuming anyone reads this thing regularly enough to be concerned. Consider the blog back up and in action.

I might also draw your attention to two blogs that will be up and coming soon. Both chronicling the visits of two witty, handsome, humorous and slightly overweight fellows as they trek to the land down under (one of them is me).
