So, This "Secret Band" pops up in an Absolutepunk news post.  This demo is sick, and though it shouldn't really matter who is in the band, I don't appreciate being toyed with.  Given the fact that the clue in the post is most likely "Secret", I'm led to believe its dudes from Secret Lives of the Freemasons.  However the vocals (and I'm not saying this is a definate) sound a fair amount like Jon Spencer from Scarlet and Spitfire.  Check out Of Legends.

Edit:  I don't think it's Jon Spencer.  Not because it doesn't sound like him, just because I can't imagine him singing about zombies.

This Is Important

This is important.  You should know about this.  Given I don't know who this Alex character is; I do know that anything that involves a collaboration between Nickle Creek and New Found Glory is important; most likely to be historic, and has the potential to be totally fucking awesome.  Keep an eye on this.

Umbrella Academy Movie

I know I usually don't do movie posts or news, but this somewhat related (and exciting).  Gerard Way's comic book series Umbrella Academy is getting turned into a movie.  Given the story line of the comic, the movie has a lot of potential.  

Then again...

A lot of movies have lots of potential, but then end up being terrible.
